Such events propelled humanity into the age of industrial technology, controlled absolutely by the religious organizations, and quickly spurred the flame of crusade and expansion in the name of their gods. But the greatest threat lies in shadow, beyond the farthest stars. Unknown powers, alien to our world, had already seeped across the lands and formed their own cults. The invasion of the Outer Gods put their petty conflicts to a sudden stop, and all barrels turned towards their common enemies.
