Lobos is a total conversion mod for Gothic 2, set in a completely new universe unrelated to the original game. The action takes place in ancient times, where the kingdom of Lobos reigns supreme. In the mod, players assume the role of a farmer from a distinguished family who sets out with friends to a mysterious valley rich in gold and magical ore to quickly strike it rich. Their expedition, however, proves unsuccessful. Numerous troublemakers and bandit groups have had similar ideas. Our hero's life is turned upside down and the only driving force that helps him overcome enormous challenges is his desire for revenge. Furthermore, the kingdom's elite troops, sent on a mission of the utmost importance by the ruler himself, are stationed in the valley. Over time, as our hero becomes increasingly entangled in the affairs of the elite Legion, the atmosphere also becomes increasingly tense. Features: - a diverse game atmosphere, from idyllic, misty tropical landscapes, through sunny deserts and dark caves, to dark temple locations, grottoes, and obscure paranormal phenomena, filled with sinister magic tied to the story - a completely new, large game world with a unique atmosphere and high-quality dialogue with a new, intriguing storyline - new requirements and statistics for items, monsters, and charactersn, increased balanced difficulty (monsters, economy, rewards, access to locations) - new and expanded skills - ability to craft items and upgrade equipment using specific ingredients acquired in-game - earning money will require more effort through honest/dishonest work and/or greater effort (cash will be harder to come by)
The Kingdom of Lobos, at the height of its power, continues its expansion. Thanks to strong army and immense military superiority, it quickly conquers and seizes new lands. Seduced by the vision of infinitely growing power, Lord Lobosu sends an expedition, an elite legion composed of the finest soldiers of the Lobosu army, to a particular corner of the land - a valley of humid equatorial forests rich in deposits of gold and magical ore, but also home to various dangerous beasts. Attracted by rumors of gold, the valley quickly attracts the attention of various adventurers and bandits. As a result, the great Neptune, the commander of the entire expedition, issues a special decree that only those with a valid travel permit may enter the valley. Many weeks later, three friends - farmers with adventurous spirits, living day to day with a desire for quick riches - attempt an expedition into these dangerous tropical regions, unaware of the dangers lurking there. After a long trek through the mountains, they manage to discover a completely empty cave with rocks of gold without much effort. However, the joy of these adventurers is short-lived...
