Blocks Beyond the Stars is a block-based 3D space crafting game. Players start with a small spaceship and explore procedurally generated planets, from lava and ice worlds to oceans, jungles, crystal caves and floating skylands. Every block can be mined and placed: players gather resources, craft tools and machines, build homesteads and bases, and design their own spaceships. Oxygen, energy, hunger, temperature and weather turn exploration into survival, while the ship AI VEGA guides the player through the mystery of the VEGA protocol. The game offers singleplayer and online co-op for up to 12 players, runs on Windows, Linux and in the browser, and is free and open source.
