When Mate discovers evidence of his father’s journey, he makes a choice that will change everything: to leave his mother behind and follow the path into the heart of the infected world. His quest leads him through collapsed cities, forgotten tunnels, and survivor outposts ruled by desperation. Along the way, Mate encounters the Medical Workers, a fanatical group of scientists determined to perfect the virus and rebuild humanity in their image.
