Zaman, tıpkı Ak Ağaç’ın yaprakları gibi avuçlarımızın arasından dökülüp giderken, geriye dönüp baktığımda değişmeyen tek bir sığınak görüyorum: Battle for Middle-earth.
Yıllar oldu... Shire’ın yeşil düzlüklerinde ilk ordumu kurduğumda, Miğfer Dibi’nin surlarında şafağı beklediğimde daha çok gençtim. O zamanlar her şey daha basitti. Arkadaşlarla internet kafelerde sabahladığımız, turnuvaların heyecanıyla uykusuz kaldığımız o günler sanki bir başka evrene aitmiş gibi geliyor şimdi. O turnuvalarda sadece askerleri değil, hayallerimizi de yarıştırırdık. Zaman geçtikçe çevremdeki her şey değişti.oyun dünyası bambaşka yönlere evrildi. Ama ben hala buradayım. Edoras’ın rüzgarını, Isengard’ın demir seslerini ve o eşsiz müzikleri hala aynı heyecanla dinliyorum. Çoğu insan için sadece bir "strateji oyunu" olan bu dünya, benim için gençliğimin, dostluklarımın ve bitmek bilmeyen bir tutkunun kalesi haline geldi.
Hala her akşam bilgisayarın başına geçtiğimde, o eski turnuva günlerindeki heyecanı kalbimde hissediyorum. Belki o büyük kalabalıklar yok, belki rakiplerim artık çok uzaklarda... Ama biliyorum ki, Batı’nın Güneşi hala parladığı sürece, benim için bu savaş asla bitmeyecek.

Time slips through our fingers like the leaves of the White Tree, and as I look back, I see only one sanctuary that remains unchanged: Battle for Middle-earth.
It has been years... I was much younger when I raised my first army in the green plains of the Shire and waited for the dawn on the ramparts of Helm’s Deep. Everything was simpler back then. Those days when we stayed up all night in internet cafes with friends, fueled by the excitement of tournaments, feel like they belong to another universe now. In those tournaments, we didn't just race our soldiers; we raced our dreams. When we won, we rejoiced as if we had planted a flag on the towers of Minas Tirith, and when we lost, we would sink into the silence of a defeated king—and well, I would get pretty angry too...
As time passed, everything around me changed. The gaming world evolved in completely different directions. But I am still here. I still listen to the wind of Edoras, the iron sounds of Isengard, and those unique soundtracks with the same excitement. To most people, this world is just a "strategy game," but for me, it has become the fortress of my youth, my friendships, and an endless passion.
Every evening when I sit down at the computer, I still feel the excitement of those old tournament days in my heart. Perhaps the great crowds are gone, perhaps my rivals are now far away... But I know that as long as the Sun of the West still shines, this war will never end for me.
