Cycene is an "earliest access" game, with hopes of becoming the most successful live service game of all time. At present time of writing, it does not have working servers. Features include: jumping, sprinting, stilts, and talking. It has one environment and one level. Every character is a seal with a toilet plunger. More content is promised in the future, such as "Daily login bonuses and other menial tasks!", "Aggressive microtransactions!", and "TOO MUCH CONTENT".
The year is 40XX and the entire planet is underwater. Nearly all territory is owned by The Company and the livelihoods of most are similarly entangled with their machinations. An already limited food supply is tightly controlled and noncompliance with The Company’s myriad regulations means certain death by starvation. While many have made their peace with life under The Company’s tyranny, a small subset of the population still believe in the existence of The Cycene - a magical relic that’s said to have once solved world hunger. You are an Auger, a “fixer” for The Company, assigned to their latest acquisition: an expansive structure called The Basin, which may or may not have been built by The Cycenians. Is The Company looking for The Cycene? Does The Basin hold the secrets of its location or the fate of The Cycenians? Does a lowly Auger such as yourself even care?
